Eigenschappen en kwaliteit boten

Samen met een gerenommeerde nautische ontwerper, Bruce Roberts Europe bv, hebben we het platform voor de Damocraft visbotenserie ontwikkeld. Vanuit dit platform zijn alle nautische berekeningen en ontwerpen voor alle boottypen gemaakt. Damocraft boten worden gemaakt van EN 5083-H11, zeewaterbestendig aluminiumplaat met een hoge corrosiebestendigheid. De toegepaste aluminium profielen hebben de kwaliteit EN 6060 T6 of hoger.

Er wordt voor de bodemplaten en alle overige plaatonderdelen van de Damocraft 2000 en 1750 (uitgezonderd de huidplaten) een aluminiumplaat met een dikte van 5 mm toegepast. De aluminium huidplaten hebben een dikte van 5 mm zodat er een nog betere laskwaliteit ontstaat en de spanten minder tekenen in de huidplaten. De platen van de Damocraft 1650 en 1550 worden in 4 mm uitgevoerd. 

Alle naden van de Damocraft boten worden in- en uitwendig volledig gelast, waarbij alle zichtnaden worden gelast middels de TIG-lasmethode en het overige laswerk middels de MIG-lasmethode. Er wordt geen popnagel-constructie in de Damocraft boten toegepast. Alle Damocraft boten worden voorzien van een doorlopende rechtopstaande aluminium strip midscheeps in de bodemnaad (in vaktermen een midden zaathout). Deze strip heeft een dikte van 10 mm en steekt ook 10 mm door de bodem wat de boot een zeer robuuste ruggengraat geeft.  

Tevens worden de Damocraft boten voorzien van 2 stuks volledige langs spanten over de hele lengte van de boot. Deze spanten en het midden zaathout maken de Damocraft boten zeer stijf en torsievrij. Daarnaast geeft het midden zaathout een extra bescherming tijdens aanvaringen of aanlandingen waarbij de midscheepse lasnaden van de bodemplaten extra worden beveiligd. Tevens worden de Damocraft boten voorzien van een delta tap. Dit is een horizontale, driehoekvormige, aluminiumplaat welke aan de achterzijde van de boot wordt opgenomen in de bodemplaten. Deze delta tap zorgt bij hoge snelheden, wanneer de boot maximaal is getrimd, voor een veel grotere stabiliteit in de vaareigenschappen van de boot.

Er worden standaard houtmaterialen toegepast in de Damocraft boten. Als optie kan er in de Damocraft boten Coosa kunststof platen worden toegepast met een dikte van 20 mm welke vervolgens worden bekleed met UV- en waterbestendig tapijt.

Alle Damocraft boten kunnen volledig op wens van de klant worden aangepast zolang de hoofddraagconstructie van het casco dit toelaat.

Characteristics and quality

Together with a renowned nautical designer, Bruce Roberts Europe bv, we have developed the platform for the Damocraft fishing boat series. All nautical calculations and designs for all boat types are made from this platform.

Damocraft boats are made from EN 5083-H11, seawater resistant aluminum sheet with high corrosion resistance. The aluminum profiles used have the EN 6060 T6 quality or higher.
An aluminum plate with a thickness of 5 mm is used for the bottom plates and all other plate parts of the Damocraft 2000 and 1750 (except the skin plates). The aluminum skin plates have a thickness of 5 mm so that an even better welding quality is created and the trusses show less signs in the skin plates. The plates of the Damocraft 1650 and 1550 are made in 4 mm.

All seams of the Damocraft boats are fully welded internally and externally, with all visible seams being welded using the TIG welding method and the other welding work using the MIG welding method. No pop rivet construction is used in the Damocraft boats. All Damocraft boats are provided with a continuous upright aluminum strip amidships in the bottom seam (in technical terms a middle sapwood). This strip has a thickness of 10 mm and also extends 10 mm through the bottom, which gives the boat a very robust backbone.

 

The Damocraft boats are also provided with 2 pieces of full longitudinal trusses over the entire length of the boat. These trusses and the center sapwood make the Damocraft boats very stiff and torsion-free. In addition, the center sapwood provides extra protection during collisions or landings, whereby the amidships welds of the bottom plates are additionally protected. The Damocraft boats are also equipped with a delta tap. This is a horizontal, triangular, aluminum plate which is incorporated into the bottom plates at the rear of the boat. At high speeds, when the boat is trimmed to its maximum, this delta tap provides much greater stability in the boat’s sailing characteristics.

 

Standard wood materials are used in the Damocraft boats. As an option, Coosa plastic sheets with a thickness of 20 mm can be used in the Damocraft boats, which are then covered with UV- and water-resistant carpet.

All Damocraft boats can be fully adapted to the wishes of the customer as long as the main supporting structure of the hull allows this.
